DHARMA DIVISION’s objective is to promote performance of fundamental duties by all individual Indian citizens. DHARMA division is committed to working for “freeing India from corrupted thoughts and actions”. Corruption in thoughts and actions is destroying the positive value systems of our society and institutions. It is replacing the concept and practice of human solidarity with the unfettered pursuit of individual gain. Corruption is undermining the fight against poverty by diverting key resources away from programmes designed to improve the quality of life especially of the poor.
DHARMA division is establishing a network volunteers across India who are interested in freeing India from corruption in bodies, minds and souls. As a first step to achieving its objective Gandhian Army is organizing a series of events such as rides, rallies and parades to make people aware of the important of removal of corruption in India.
No human being is perfect. We all have limitations. We live in a world in which basic values such as kindness and compassion are not often given the importance they are due. People get so caught up in day-to-day responsibilities and personal insecurities, that they lose sight of their goals for personal development. Recovering ones’ sense of integrity, or goodness, begins with identifying ones’ own personal values. Goodness is the first step to success and happiness. We can often turn to religion for guidance, but ultimately we should learn to define our own morals ourselves. One of the simplest ways to do so is to be considerate to others and treat them as you would like to be treated. Try to think of others before yourself. Even doing small things on a daily basis will greatly enrich and improve ones’ own life, and the lives of other around.
